MMA

Taking influence from a variety of combat sports, MMA (Mixed Martial Arts) uses a combination of grappling and striking techniques that can be executed from a standing position or on the ground. A number of disciplines are utilised in combination with each other by MMA fighters, amongst the most common are; Brazilian Jiu-Jistu, Amateur Wrestling, Boxing, Muay Thai, Kickboxing, Karate, Judo and Boxing. Today, MMA is extremely popular as a practiced and spectator sport, partly due to it's worldwide exposure and popularity of MMA event; the UFC (the Ultimate Fighting Championship).
